What syncs
When you connect DealCloud, Breaknine imports:- Contacts — people records with name, email, title, and firm affiliation
- Companies — organization records with deal pipeline context
- Deals — pipeline entries including stage, status, and associated contacts
Connect DealCloud
DealCloud uses client credentials (OAuth 2.0 client credentials flow) rather than a simple API key. You’ll need three values from your DealCloud admin.Get your credentials from DealCloud
Contact your DealCloud administrator or go to your DealCloud instance’s API settings to obtain:
- Site URL — your DealCloud instance URL, e.g.
yourfirm.dealcloud.com - Client ID — the OAuth client ID for the API integration
- Client Secret — the corresponding secret
Connect in Breaknine
Go to Settings → Integrations in Breaknine and click Connect next to DealCloud. Enter your site URL, client ID, and client secret, then click Connect.
Sync behavior
| Type | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Initial sync | All contacts and companies are imported on first connection |
| Incremental sync | New and updated records sync on a scheduled basis |
| Credentials | Client ID + Client Secret, encrypted at rest |
DealCloud is typically used by financial services firms with enterprise-grade access controls. If you don’t have API credentials, ask your DealCloud administrator to create an API user with read access.
